In A Moment Part One

By July 20, 2012October 11th, 2013Vision

Everything can change in a moment.

We can never underestimate the power and potential of a moment. Some people question, “What can really happen in a moment?” “Lasting change is the product of a gradual process, a series of events.” I have to agree that many things change as a result of a process, but so much can happen, so much can change… in a single moment.

Historians can actually pinpoint individual moments that altered history and changed the world forever. These events were not drawn out, extended periods of time. They happened suddenly. Just in the last 100 years, we’ve witnessed the first human flight, the discovery of penicillin, the 9/11 terrorist strike, walking on the moon. These single occurrences transformed the way we live as people.

In Isaiah 66, the prophet Isaiah describes a moment that gives me chills every time I read it. In verse 8 he says,

“Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this?
Can a nation be saved in a day or can a country be brought forth in a moment?
Yet before Zion travails in labor
she gives birth to a son.”

While the precise application of this Scripture has been argued by scholars, what they all tend to agree on is that Isaiah is referencing the divine pace of God. How that when God steps in things can transpire at a supernatural speed. Isaiah says before Zion’s labor pains she gives birth to a son. This shouldn’t happen. The natural progression is labor then delivery. What precedes is earth shattering. “Can a nation be saved in ONE DAY? Can a country be brought for in a moment” An entire nation with all of its systems and infrastructure should NOT be born in one day, yet Isaiah insinuates with God… it can happen.

I carry the passionate dream that on July 20, 2013 – 12 months from today – the nation of Honduras will be changed in a single moment. Check out 1Nation1Day.com and find out why.
